New Covenant Fellowship Parking Policy
4500 Creekview Road, Mechanicsburg PA
717-732-8500
Temporary parking at New Covenant Fellowship (NCF) is a courtesy generally extended to a limited number of current church members. In certain cases, NCF may also extend this courtesy to its neighbors in the surrounding community. Temporary vehicle parking is a privilege extended to nearby residents only. Individuals who do not live in close proximity to NCF will not receive permission to park in the lot. Both members and non-members may park at NCF only after they have received permission and supply relevant information to NCF. Pertinent information includes the owner’s name, address, telephone number, email address, make and model of vehicle, license plate and driver’s license number. Owners who do not supply this information will not receive permission to park temporarily on church grounds.
Owners who receive permission to park their vehicle in the NCF lot on a temporary basis must agree to all of the following conditions:
- NCF reserves the right to change its policy at any time. Owners parking in the lot temporarily will receive notice of any changes.
- NCF is not liable for any damage sustained while the vehicle is on church grounds, no matter the cause of the damage (e.g., a church member strikes the vehicle, or a snow plow).
- If a snowstorm is anticipated, the owner will remove their vehicle from the lot. Otherwise, the owner risks damage from a plow or may be plowed in. Owners agree to remove their vehicle from the NCF lot prior to any storms that would require plowing of the lot (more than 3 inches).
- Vehicles may not remain idle in the lot for extended periods of time, such as a week. They should be actively used.
- If a vehicle remains idle for an extended period of time, NCF will request the owner to remove the vehicle from the NCF lot. The lot is not intended for storage. If the owner does not comply or cannot be reached within a week of attempted contact by NCF, then NCF reserves the right to have the vehicle towed by Miller’s and Sam’s Towing (717-697-9972). Once a vehicle is towed, the owner is responsible for all fees and charges that may be necessary to secure the release of the vehicle.
- If a vehicle is found in the lot with expired tags, NCF will contact the police for further action.
NCF would like to encourage those using its facilities to attend worship services, either at NCF or another house of worship. If individuals approved to park in the lot feel inclined, they can make a voluntary donation which will be deposited into the NCF building and grounds fund that is used to maintain church property. However, approval will be based on space constraints, safety concerns and other relevant criteria. Voluntary donations to NCF will not be used as a factor to determine approval for temporary parking.
